Viscount Lyons to Earl Granville-(Received December (.)

Paris, December 5, 1884. WITH reference to my despatches Nos. 641, 646, 647, 666, 667, 679, and 680, of the 9th, 11th, and 25th ultimo, and 1st instant, I have the honour to inclose herewith, to your Lordship, extracted from the "Journal Officiel" of this day, a telegram from General Brière de l'Isle, of the 2nd instant, stating that there has been found in a village a Proclamation referring to an Imperial Decree exciting the people to poison the French. I inclose also a Report from General Brière de l'Isle of the military operations in Tonquin in the month of October.

UNtélégramme du Général Brière de sle, en date du 2 Décembre, 1884, apnouce qu'il a été trouvé dans un des villages du Loch-Nam une Procmation imprimée du Vice-Roi des deux Kouangs qui vise un Décret Impérial excitant à l'empoisonnement des Français.
